You're right! There is nothing like the amber waves of grain. Someone from Colorado might add the purple mountains majesty. I guess we here at the beach would have to add the shining sea.

I'm in the High Sierra Mountains of California being a counselor at a summer camp. I miss the rolling hills of the Midwest - it's so rocky here! Thanks for giving me a spoonful of my country fixin'
I'll be home mid August! 'til then, keep on posting the beautiful images! They make me so happy!
Our wheat field has been harvested. The straw is all wet now. The haywagons sit empty, ready to begin baling. I don't know if my body's ready for the abuse yet.
