I'm not sure how I found your blog but I love it. We did a lot of camping when I was a child and and Airstream was always a dream for my parents to get someday.
love your trailer! we just bought our first vintage Airstream in Arizona and shipped home to London (UK) - we're now on our Grand Alpine Tour... currently sipping wine beneath the awesome Alpe d'Huez
Everything is original and works on my 1966 Overlander - even the fridge! only mod I made was building a ceiling-hung cot for the boy - love my Airstream
Love your pictures. You have a good and empathetic eye. The things and places you photograph are totally alien to me (I have only lived in Africa and the Middle East) but you make them look familiar.
What a small world. :) I grew up in Sterling, Illinois, which is just across the Rock River from Rock Falls. I just happened upon your blog while looking for homemade laundry detergent recipes, and recognized some of the pictures you had posted as reminding me of home. It's so nice, due to now living in Pensacola, Florida, and being a military wife, to see scenes of the land where I grew up. I miss the Midwest so!
What a cool Airstream. I bet it's seen a lot of great adventures in its lifetime.

oh, I love those old Airstreams...I could easily see myself traveling the country in one of those.
ReplyDeleteyup; me too -- traveling the country in an old Airstream.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of the old Airstream trailers!
ReplyDeleteI just happened upon your blog while searching for photos of farmhouses. Love your photos! I'll definitely be back!
