The kids were disappointed that is was too dark and wet out to trick'n'treat; so we loaded up the car and took them for a drive, just to see the candle-lit pumpkins on people's porches. At the corner of Denker & Bolcum Roads we encountered a horseman, and without streetlights it took us a few minutes to realize it was "headless" horseman!! We fled back to bright civilization -- the Pizza Hut, as I recall, but ever since, when passing by Denker Road on a murky night, I wonder, is he still out there?.....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12033578.post-1130896805441805392005-11-01T20:00:00.000-06:002005-11-01T20:00:00.000-06:00Zanne, Been there, done that and you are right, Ma...Zanne,
Been there, done that and you are right, Marjories place is a treasure.
"The Yearling" ...what a great tale.R.Powershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04905593499136090763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12033578.post-1130873563607471532005-11-01T13:32:00.000-06:002005-11-01T13:32:00.000-06:00I really like this one! The treat bags are bigger in the country where there are fewer kids.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12033578.post-1130846168690948902005-11-01T05:56:00.000-06:002005-11-01T05:56:00.000-06:00We had a good number, but they came in packs. Which is OK if you plan to leave the decoration out for awhile. The wild swing of temperaturess causes pumpkins to rot really fast around here.

We didn't have alot of kids which left me with one really big bowl of candy. I saw Dad and for every pack of peanut butter cups he gave out, he ate one.

There were a few Batmen, Spidermen, and princesses. The two cutest were a baby lion in his wagon looking totally unimpressed with it all and a VERY tall Scooby Doo dog.srphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11751987787364198318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12033578.post-1130815974200602072005-10-31T21:32:00.000-06:002005-10-31T21:32:00.000-06:00The cord running from the back of the pumpkin make...The cord running from the back of the pumpkin makes me wonder if it's ceramic.

Nice shot!
