The sunflowers have seen better days. They're looking sad and bare, having lost most of their blooms. Soon the large seed heads will be a wintertime bird feeder.

These are still lovely. Did you get to that fair again this year? I wondered if the teenage girl with the black steer had another animal to show this year.
Unfortunately I was out of town during fair week. That girl/steer photo is one of my all time favorites. I was hoping to try for another chance to photograph her because she had such a distinctive attitude/presence.
