This lovely little farm is now totally surrounded by advancing development. They continue to farm small patches of hay, but the large crops of corn and soybeans are in the past.
As is the case with much of the land around here, this property has most likely already passed hands to the developers. They're just not ready to move forward with a shopping center or million dollar homes ....... just yet.
For now it's a lovely oasis.

I have seen this happen to many beautiful country homes as well. I think it's such a shame.
As for us, we're soooo far removed from the city that I can't imagine the land around us 'developing' into anything other than what it is. Though I used to live in the city, the thought of having a neighbor just yards away is not an appealing thought. One gets used to the vastness...
