Twilight on the Prairie

Photobucket

One of the shoppers steps outside at Nada Farm's Barn Sale to enjoy twilight on the prairie.

Montana claims to be the big sky country but the sky is equally big here in Illinois. The corn has just been harvested from those fields.

The Times

This is the Times theater in nearby Rockford, Illinois. It's abandoned and yes, the times they are a changing. Down the block is another theater that has been beautifully restored. It serves as a center for the performing arts.

I've made a vow to take a walking tour of this city to photograph all the interesting buildings and signs.

It was getting late and I was trying to get home before dark, so this was taken out of the car window while I was stopped at a stop light.

There are many more interesting angles to this scene and I can't wait to return when the light is more favorable.
