snow fence
The snow fence seems to stretch on forever....as does winter at this point.
We've had whiteout conditions on and off for awhile. The cold snow and warm temperatures create fog and if the roads are still covered with snow it's any eerie combination.
I was caught in a particularly horrible white out a couple of years back. It was foggy and snowing and I was totally disoriented. It's a very strange feeling when there's nothing for your eyes to focus on, or any point of reference.
There were just the faint tips of fence posts on my right hand side. I had to caluculate in my mind how far those posts were from the edge of the road and pray that I was right.

Love love love this photo, Zanne!
This is one of the most beautiful photos I've seen in awhile - well done.
Absolutely stunning photo...I have always loved fence pictures and this is one of the best I have seen.
Love it! We had some seriously scary fog the last week. It was pea soup and then just like that it was drifting across the fields and the sun was shining. It was so eerie.
Beautiful shot. I'd love to have a copy of that one framed in a simple black frame, wide matted...
Ahhhhh.
I drove from Omaha to Kansas City in similar white out conditions. Not the whole way, of course, but much of it, and I don't know how I knew I was even on the road. No lines. No lights. Can't see the shoulder or the side of the road.
Once again, an excellent photo.
Gorgeous...absolutely.
Hi Suzanne! I had to stop by and let you know that you won a beautiful calendar from Heather at Present Past Collection.....I saw your name and knew I could let you know!!! xxoo, Dawn
I love your photos. They are simple, but always have such a story to tell.
What a great photo. Have seen many of those snow fences
Spectacular photo. I've never been in a white out, but I passed my home by a few miles a month or so ago when driving home at night in swirly fog conditions. I missed all the visual cues and went right by my own driveway. You're right, it's a strange feeling, just focusing on the road like it's suspended in space.
The snow fence photo is awesome. I love it!
Not seen snow fences for a long long time
