Here's a view from the interior of yet another decaying farmhouse.
It seems that all of a sudden these houses are being vacated by the hundreds. Directly across from this old farmhouse is a new development. And so it goes........
They are offered up for sale, usually for $1, if the new owner agrees to move it. Many are actually moved. Visit my other site to see a video of one being moved. This one is in terrible condition. The original house is incredibly small. The newer additions are strange and the entire building has the feeling of a rabbit hutch. The second stories are separate with no way to access the rooms from the other side of the house except to go down the stairs and back up another set of steps. This will most likely be demolished or burned as practice for the fire department.
The Farmer's Wife lives 9 miles from anything. Join her on a journey to connect with the rest of the world and find some common ground. Visit anytime. The screen door will be open and the porch light will be on.

very very sad indeed...
Zanne, are they ever offered up for sale as refurb projects, or are they bought up by the developers and cleared away to make room for new ones?

This reminds me of those old Renaissance paintings, with the wonderful view out the window. :)
