images from the land of corn & soybeans

Brings tears to my eyes. Truly love living in the Midwest... absolutely adore living in this country... blemishes, mistakes and all.
Sure Suzanne !So nice this summer views wich mean everything and nothing !I love itHave a nice day !
You're right! There is nothing like the amber waves of grain. Someone from Colorado might add the purple mountains majesty. I guess we here at the beach would have to add the shining sea.
O so peacefull
Oh Zanne - This photo makes me want to fly into the clouds & rest in a wheatfield. I'm in the High Sierra Mountains of California being a counselor at a summer camp. I miss the rolling hills of the Midwest - it's so rocky here! Thanks for giving me a spoonful of my country fixin' I'll be home mid August! 'til then, keep on posting the beautiful images! They make me so happy!
A beautiful sight.
Our wheat field has been harvested. The straw is all wet now. The haywagons sit empty, ready to begin baling. I don't know if my body's ready for the abuse yet.
I live in western Illinois. I never tire of this view.....
