snowy evening
There's nothing better than a snowy evening, when you know there's no where to go and nothing to do but light a fire and doze off by the light of the Christmas tree.
It's snowing heavily and firing up the tractor to plow the drive will wait until morning. For now it's a good book and a glass of wine.
Stay safe everyone.

Love the big ones! Really feels like Christmas!
Great picture of the snow. What settings do you have to use...not that we will get any here in Virginia Beach, but we can always hope.
Zanne,
Another great photo. You do deliver. Enjoy your fire and wine.
Awesome shot!
I saw the coolest thing the other night - the snow was coming down in buckets and the school bus in front of me in traffic had that horrible bright light going on the top - well, it made the snow just glitter - it was so cool. Your photo reminded me of that!
This shot makes me feel like Im standing there watching it!
*fantastic* :-)
I wish I lived in your world!
(Also, what was the book?)
Thanks as always for the comments.
This pic was taken with my Fuji, on automatic settings with the flash. The light reflects off the snowflakes and "glow".
The fire was warm, the wine was good (Spatlese) and the book? Reading Life on the Mississippi, by Mark Twain.
Zanne,
Please go to my site and send me an email so I'll have yer address. Those past emails I tried to send you NEVER went through.
Jinx. You owe me a Coke. I put up a very similar pic on my blog on the same day. Talk about yer midwest synchronicity.
Pretty picture!
