gone fishin'

The Farmers Wife is going fishin' again.

Tomorrow I'll be leaving for Myrtle Beach.....then we'll be driving down the coast to Charleston. I plan to check out those shrimp boats in McClellanville, and make sure it's still the sleepy little southern town I remember. Then it's on to Fort Moultrie outside Charleston, to visit Chief Osceola's resting place. In Charleston we'll have dinner at Ansons - which is the spot where I had the best dinner EVER!!! Pecan encrusted chicken breast, whipped sweet potatoes and collard greens.

So have a good time over the labor day weekend. I promise to bring back lots of photographs.

Best wishes for you. Take care form Katrina, when heading south...
Again, I loved this barn series, and how you included your shadow in this one.

Got my fingers crossed that the shrimpboat docks have not been replaced by condo's.

Have a good time, smile and wave if you fly over Virginia Beach.

Wow! I am blown away by your photography. I just took a look at some of your archives and that was enough for me to subscribe. BTW what kind of camera do you use? (I need to replace mine in a serious way.)

Thanks for your kind comments Andrea, and welcome to the Farmers Wife. Camera?? Well, I've become a camera addict and have several, but most of the pics here were taken with either a Fuji Finepix S5000 or a Nikon D70. The Fuji is a great midrange camera with some manual capabilities. The D70 is a great camera and with a stable of lenses you can do wonderful things. Regards, Suzanne
