grey
Finding anything of photographic interest will be a challenge as we enter the grey zone. The light is gone, the entire landscape smothered by a thick and oppressive cloud cover. The sky is dark and grey, the snow is dirty. Well, actually the snow all melted yesterday in a wierd January thunderstorm!
We live on the remembered beauty of the hoarfrost, and the promise of a pristine snowfall or the fragile beauty of a ice storm.
But for now we hunker down and sit under the dark pall.

The fog has its own beauty. It was foggy here in Virginia Beach yesterday and last night thunderstorms. No snow in sight.
Ah, but I love your foggy road picture; it has a certain mystique to it. Somewhere in my college pictures collection, I think I have a photo of a foggy night from a lighted porch that simply thrills my soul. I may have to dig it up sometime soon.
Funny, I woke up to a morning that was gray, misty and shrouded in fog. I thought how beautiful! It is a beauty all it's own indeed. Mysterious and soothing.
I was taking photos on New Year's day in a light fog and overcast skies and when I processed the photos it struck me that the lighting was nature's light box. A great time to experiment.

Dreary! Nice black and white color photo though.
Damp and dreary but pretty nonetheless!
Wonderful photo!
