weather station

Years ago I gave up the habit of watching TV news. The same goes for the weather.

Each morning I check the weather station at Peck and Keslinger Roads. The birds tell me all I need to know. On this clear morning they're facing west, which means the sun will hold out and we'll be blessed with some sunshine. If the birds are facing east, a storm is approaching and they have positioned themselves with their backs against the coming onslaught.

I look at them and all I can see is a Pixar cartoon from a few years ago.

Have you noticed that the birds pick certain corners, lines, buildings and even stop lights to perch on and not others? Why? Is one electic line better than another? Are free swinging stoplights more attractive than those held stationary by strong aluminum poles? Why are Pizza Hut and Home Depot more popular than McDonalds and Walmart? I know, too many questions.
