the yoke

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

A single yoke rests against the fence. It has a beautiful form, carved from maple. The wood has taken on a patina that comes with age and wear, and creates an interesting image of a tool. Unlike like most modern industrial designs, this is an organic form.

This yoke certainly looks a lot better than those neckties I used to wear at the office for so many years. Those seemed like yokes of a sort, too.

Love your pix! I visit every single day.

Beautiful small piece of art. And very nice contrast with the weathered wood of the fence.
